Services for Robert Tenneson "Bobby" Bell, 89, will be held Saturday June 28, 2 p.m., at the Bodie Cemetery.
Friends are Welcome.
Mr. Bell was “the second generation of his family” born in Bodie, as his Grandfather arrived and mined in the Town's early days.
He was born March 9, 1914, and died January 9, 2003 in Carson City.
Bobby “loved Bodie,” and was a resident for more than 50 years.
When the Ghost Town became a California State Historical Park in the early 1960s, he helped with “historic facts,” mainly acquainting the State with Mining details. Bobby Bell was employed by the California State Park Service until 1976, when he retired and moved to Luning, Nev. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Currie Bell.
Interment will be at the Bodie Cemetery.
